Springs in a Snowstorm - Page 2 Empty

Coven would seriously consider later Molly's request to play nice with Chaos. While he hadn't actually made the first lunge during the scuffle with the black wolfess, he had perhaps goaded her...just a bit. There was room for improvement, and he could be up for it, one of these days.

At Molly's announcement that his wounds were almost healed, the black wolf grinned almost triumphantly, glad his body hadn't shut down on him yet. Chaos would be close to being healed as well, which meant that soon Molly's work load would be lightened, especially with her strength returning. Though the wolves had just been talking about how it'd be when Coven left, he really hadn't realized it would be this soon. Molly's herbs had sped up the healing process much more than the male had anticipated, which was extraordinary and somewhat regrettable.

He didn't get to think long on that, though, before the white wolfess finished and lay down beside him again. "No hurry..." commented the wolf as he nuzzled into Molly's thick fur contentedly, his eyes closed. At times like this, he almost had to remind himself why he wanted to go back out there - this time almost wondering aloud. He rested his head gently on top of Molly, too blissful to speak, but thinking all the while that he kind of owed Chaos for giving him a reason to stay in Silverlight. It really was home.

Molly smiled as he cuddled up to her and rested his head over her small body, and she sighed softly in contentment, closing her eyes and nearly dozing off. Why did he have to make it so hard to get up and check on the others? She nuzzled into his chest, enjoying his powerful scent as it filled her nose and the tickle of his fur as it ruffled around her face. After several minutes, she groaned, taking a deep breath and lifting her head to nip at his ear. "I should go check on Chaos and Tessa. But, you'll have to let me up." She teased, smiling at him since she couldn't get up. His head over her body was holding her down, since she was so small, and she flicked her tail, hitting his nose playfully. "That is, unless you'd rather check on Chaos." She laughed, this time biting down on his ear gently and tugging it softly. "The sooner I get up, the sooner I'll get back." She said, releasing his ear and licking it's base affectionately. She didn't want to leave, but she knew she had responsibilities.

Coven grinned as Molly commented that he would have to let her up. For half a second, he playfully considered trying that out, but the mention of Chaos had him pulling back, laughing at her romping. After a retaliatory nudge at her shoulder, vowing that he'd get her back for the tail-whack later, the male released her, stretched, and got up, with the heat from Molly's body quickly and sharply leaving his own. He looked down at the wolfess and paused, trying to figure out if he would be able to help in anyway. Checking on Tessa really wouldn't do much good, since he didn't know what to look for. Molly's analysis was more than just 'you doing ok? good.' At a loss for anything he'd be useful for, Coven finally just shook his head and turned toward the door, determined to at least keep watch when Molly left. Her den was situated perfectly for him to be able to watch her move around from where he was, and that was something he could do just fine.

Molly smiled as he let her up, and she laughed softly at his nudge, wondering if he really was planning on getting her back later for the whack with her tail. She smiled up at him before exiting the den, deciding to get Chaos taken care of first. When she reached the Head Warror's den, she paused for a moment, taking a deep breath before entering it slowly. "Chaos?" She asked, blinking a few times to adjust to the light before spotting the black wolf. "I need to change your dressings." She added, moving forward. What surprised her, was that Chaos merely looked at her and shrugged, and then ignored her. She moved forward, carefully changing the dressings, but doing it quickly, and then cleaned up and exited the den. When she exited, she exhaled, not realizing that she had been holding her breath the whole time.

She glanced over at Coven, smiling and wagging her tail as she took notice that she was being watched, and she tilted her head to the side slightly, watching him for a moment before heading over to the den across from Blitz's. She knew that's where Tessa was staying with that new male, Pravin before they were either ejected from the territory or accepted into the pack. She entered slowly, not knowing Pravin and being nervous as to how he would react. When she entered, she found them both asleep, so she looked over Tessa carefully, making sure not to wake her, and then exited the den deciding to speak to her the next day.

Then she headed back to her den, smiling as she approached Coven, finding that she was excited to be back with him again, even after only a few minutes. She smiled when she reached him, jumping and nipping at his ear playfully. "Miss me?" She asked, smiling up at him and sitting down, her tail wagging gently.

Coven sat fixated on Chaos's den for the duration of Molly's visit. He was only slightly less anxious when Molly entered Tessa's den, since he didn't know anything about this new male Blitz had let in. Pravin couldn't be so horrible, though, or he wouldn't have been allowed to enter at all. Molly's return had Coven wagging his tail and rising to his feet in welcome. The look on his face was enough answer for the healer's question.

With a playful grin, the wolf finally took his revenge and tackled Molly - he didn't have to be rough to win - to the floor of the den, pawing at her ears as he stood over her. Tail wagging and ears pricked, Coven exuded energy. After getting in his tug on the white wolfess' ear, the male stepped to the side and sank down beside Molly, still trying to get over this random fit of energy that had overcome him. "It didn't look like Chaos gave you any trouble today," commented the wolf casually, laying face to face with Molly, glad his eyes had once again adjusted to the darkness of the den. "You didn't notice a fever or anything?" Chaos was so strange, he'd never figure out her random behavior. But no matter how much Coven disliked her or was perplexed by her behavior, using her as a topic of discussion was bound to put him to sleep. In this state, he needed that or he'd be awake all night.

Molly yelped in surprise and laughed as he tackled her and pinned her down, growling playfully at him as he tugged gently at her ear. When he stepped aside and sank down beside her, she nipped at his shoulder her tail wagging as she smiled up at him. "I suppose we're even now?" She asked, poking his neck with her nose with a soft laugh. But when he mentioned Chaos, she tilted her head to the side and laughed again. "No fever. Maybe she was just tired." She said, shrugging it off. "Now, as for Tessa, I need to make sure to check on her in the morning. She was sleeping, and I didn't want to wake her. She needs her sleep. Plus, there was a huge male in there with her who I wasn't about to wake up either." She said, mentioning Pravin and looking towards the entrance of the den in confusion. When had he gotten here? And who was he? He was staying in the den across from Blitz's, so she knew he wasn't a pack member, but she questioned why Blitz had let him into the pack lands at all. But she figured he had a good reason, or at least she hoped he did.

Coven wasn't so content to simply accept Chaos's strange behavior, but since there wasn't anything he could do about it at the moment, he responded with a laugh to Molly, "No, we are definitely not even." He licked at her ear, not interested in getting her back yet.

"A male you don't know?" asked the wolf, lifting his head interestedly. Loner? Maybe he was a friend of Tessa's and was looking for her, or something. Laying his head down, Coven closed his eyes, finally starting to feel like he could possibly sleep. "Look's like we've got a few jobs to do in the morning," he mumbled, eyes still closed.

Molly figured that Chaos's behavior was just because she was tired, but she wasn't going to let it bother her either way. When Coven asked about the male, she shrugged, assuming that Blitz had everything under control. When Coven finally relaxed and seemed interested in sleeping, Molly scooted closer, snuggling up against him and resting her head on his paws after licking his chin lightly. "I suppose we do." She said softly, her voice just barely above a whisper and closely followed by a yawn. Soon she was cuddled close and falling asleep, her breathing soft and slow, her body relaxed, and her mind content. "Goodnight, Coven." She whispered, finally giving in to the sleep that she had been fighting off for quite some time now.
