Leona, Acceptance into a new pack?

Leona carefully looked over the edge of the ridge gingerly; it was a long way down. She had been travelling for some time now, alone, and had accidently stepped into rocky ridges. Leona could smell wolves and new this area had been marked, but she hoped that a fight wouldn’t be aroused. She drew in a deep breath, the fresh air was welcoming.

It had been a long time since she had come across a pack, she had stayed away, but this pack seemed to attract her soul, leaving her with a warm feeling.
She let out a soft howl, which travelled with the wind like a song to let the Alpha know there was a female on the ridge, hoping for some form of acceptance.

Deep in thought, Leona did not think about her footing and her amber eyes jewels opened wide in fear as her front paw slipped and she plummeted down the side of the ridge. She let out a startled cry finished with a loud huff as she landed on a sledge. Surprisingly unhurt, just left in shock – the caramel coloured wolf shook her coat and looked around, how the hell was she going to get back up there? But as Leona’s eyes looked forwards she saw that the pack was just a leap away. She breathed a sigh of relief.

Blitz had caught the female's scent even before her cry had echoed through the trees around him. He had been making his way towards her location as her song drifted to his large ears. He smiled as he paused to listen, his own soft and short howl returning, signally his approach. There was no need to frighten the female, she seemed rather friendly and harmless. As his howl ceased, he picked up the pace, trotting towards her and coming to a stop at the edge of the ridge just in time to see her sliding to a stop at the base.

"Are you alright, Miss?"

He asked, his ears perked and his eyes concerned. No, she was not part of his pack, but that did not mean that he couldn't show concern for her wellfare. He listened intently, carefully making his way down the ridge towards her to make sure she was alright. But when she rose, she seemed unhurt, and he came to a stop several feet from her, surveying her carefully. Then he sat, smiling at her and searching her face for any sign of discomfort or pain.
